Occupational Therapy Services

Australian Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation offers a comprehensive range of occupational therapy services. We provide our assessment and therapy services. If you need these services, simply call us to make an appointment. We assist with improving access in your home and the provision of assistive technology such as wheelchairs and mobility equipment.

Our Services

Our services can include any of the following: 

Daily living skills and assistance: We help you with making daily tasks easier and help with skills development, and training. This may include prescription of assistive equipment to make the task easier.

Assessing your home environment to make it more accessible through home modifications. Home modifications may include modifications such as rails, ramps or wheelchair accessible bathrooms or kitchens

Assessment and therapy for children to improve school performance and help parents to help their child.

Assistive technology

Assistive technology can include 
  • Household equipment such as equipment used for bathing, or toileting 
  • Mobility equipment including manual or power wheelchairs and pressure cushions
  • Transfer equipment such as hoists, or height adjustable beds and pressure care mattresses
  • Communication or Low vision Equipment
We discuss with you your needs and assist with arranging trials of equipment and applying for assistive technology to be funded. Once provided we train in the use of assistive technology. 
We provide education for carers or family on how to use assistive devices or in manual handling.

Funding
Our services are funding through private funding via EFTPOS at the consultation, DVA or NDIS. Private health funds may provide a rebate- check with your fund. 

Therapy for children 

We provide individual sessions for children to help improve play skills, social skills, or fine and gross motor skills. We assist with behaviour difficulties and sensory or attention regulation. Children can be assisted with improving their handwriting or keyboard skills too!

Therapy for Adults

We provide therapy for adults following a stroke, head injury, spinal injury, amputation or neurological condition. We work with the person to set goals, and work out a plan to improve.
Our occupational therapists are available by appointment. When you need support, we are here to help!
